The article is a must-read if you plan to register for India’s most competitive examination, i.e., the National Eligibility Entrance Test, or NEET. Every year, more than 15 lakh candidates register for this examination, making it the highest written examination among all the entrance examinations conducted in the country.
In 2022, around 17 lakh students registered for the examination, of which approximately 9.5 lakh students could clear the test. Students need a solid preparation base to clear the NEET exam with an excellent rank to secure admission to top-ranking universities.
The best way to prepare for the examination is by solving the mock test. How can solving mock tests help students prepare for the examination? To answer that, we have mentioned the benefits of attempting the NEET mock test below.
- Exam pattern: Through solving the mock tests, you will be able to understand the exam pattern, i.e., the different types of questions, sections and the mark’s weightage. By doing this before the examination, you will find the question paper more familiar and will be able to solve it comfortably.
- Speed: It works as a question bank because you solve different questions. This practice helps to increase your speed of solving questions more efficiently.
- Time management skills: Solve the mock tests as if you are solving an actual question paper. This will teach you to manage your time and attempt the question paper accordingly.
- Understand difficulty: The NEET question paper is divided into three sections. Each section has its own set of questions. Mock tests give an idea about the difficulty level of the questions, which varies according to the chapters.
- Revision: It helps you recall the concepts that you have learnt. While attempting the mock test, you get the opportunity to find where you require more practice.
- Clearing doubts: Mock tests help to solve various doubts regarding the exam, like what type of questions can be asked, predict the difficulty level of questions, etc.
